Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Western North Carolina

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Western North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend required; scheduling meets departmental needs with flexibility across all sections of the Emergency Department

Highlights:

• 101-bed Emergency Department within a Magnet-designated, Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
• High-volume facility serving over 100,000 visits annually with 30+ pediatric subspecialties available
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients; support from unit clerks, techs, and monitoring staff
• Cerner EMR system; equipped with Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Opportunity to work across diverse ED sections including triage, internal processing, and cardiac monitoring
• Part of a facility recognized as one of America's top 1% hospitals with Leapfrog "A" Hospital Safety Grade

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Prior experience in a Level II trauma center or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) preferred
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC (CPI required upon hire)
• Ability to float within all Emergency Department sections
• Strong teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
