Pay: $25/hour to start

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated  Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a high-volume workforce. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, process-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. While payroll experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 100–300 employees
• Enter and maintain employee information within the payroll system
• Maintain accurate employee files and records
• Track and update employee data using Excel spreadsheets
• Perform high-volume data entry with accuracy
• Assist with light clerical duties, including filing, collating, and mailing
• Handle multiple projects with timelines and shifting priorities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Payroll experience preferred but not required
• Highly organized and process-driven
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• General math proficiency
• 10-key by touch
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work every other Sunday for payroll processing
• May be required to be on-call as needed
• Overtime is expected during payroll cycles
