Description
  • Assess patients within pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using established assessment methods and careful observation.
  • Craft tailored treatment strategies that cater to both immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on aspects such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
  • Partner with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to establish effective care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families to encourage progress outside clinical visits.
  • Occasionally conduct inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure continuous care throughout the recovery process.
  • Uphold meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Stay informed about developments in the field through ongoing education and collaborative learning with peers.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-hire.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment techniques suitable for all age groups, with a solid comprehension of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt therapy methods to accommodate varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong clinical judgement coupled with effective problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
