JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scrub/Circulate surgical procedures Providing communication between team members in the surgical field and persons outside the operating room Maintaining sterile environment during the surgical procedure Conducting and documenting sponge/sharps and instrument counts as required during the surgical procedure Completing intra-operative documentation of the procedure Acting as the patient’s advocate during patient's stay in the operating room Assisting with room turnover, including disposal of trash and linen, cleaning of OR table and floor, assembly and opening of sterile supplies

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

One-year operating room nursing experience is required Three or more years of scrub and circulating experience is highly desired RN Graduate from an accredited nursing institution, BSN preferred Current RN license in the state of Virginia BLS Certification required
