Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of new clients to determine their substance abuse history, mental health status, and specific treatment needs.

• Design, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans that holistically address both addiction and any co-occurring mental health issues.

• Lead individual therapy sessions and facilitate group therapy discussions, employing evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to client needs.

• Collaborate effectively with our multidisciplinary team, which includes doctors, psychiatrists, social workers, and peer support specialists, to ensure all aspects of client care are integrated and well-communicated.

• Provide education and guidance to clients’ families, encouraging their involvement in the recovery journey and promoting a supportive home environment.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress in compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring all records meet legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults experiencing substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol, opioids, and stimulants. Many clients may also present with co-occurring mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, or PTSD. Your role is pivotal in providing these clients with compassionate care and effective therapeutic strategies to help them navigate the challenges of recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
\n
• Demonstrated training or experience in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment.
\n
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, combined with strong communication abilities, both verbal and written.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a mental health setting is required, candidates with experience specifically in addiction treatment and recovery support services will be highly regarded. Experience in working within a community health framework is also beneficial, as is familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques.
