Work Environment\n

This position is designed to provide flexibility, allowing therapists to operate in a remote setting while being part of an outpatient practice. Your regular working hours will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, including severity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their specific needs, goals, and preferences, ensuring their active participation in the therapeutic process.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address the complexities of mood disorders.

• Provide ongoing education to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment pathways, and effective self-care strategies.

• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on evolving needs and therapeutic effectiveness.

• Engage with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to continually refine therapeutic approaches and methodologies.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in line with ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and contribute to the team's collective knowledge.

• Advocate for clients to promote the destigmatization of mood disorders and better advocate for their mental health needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to support individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. You will work with a diverse population across various demographics in Jacksonville and surrounding areas. Understanding the unique challenges faced by each client will be vital in developing effective treatment plans and rapport.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

• Proficiency in delivering evidence-based modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, with demonstrated success in treating mood disorders.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.

• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and foster a sense of trust and openness.
