Launched in 2007, the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools’ mission is to transform schools to revolutionize school systems, empowering all students with a high-quality education. The Partnership is a non-profit, in-district partner to LA Unified, not a charter network. As an independent nonprofit organization, the Partnership serves 13,550 students across 20 LA Unified schools in Boyle Heights, South Los Angeles, and Watts. The Partnership works within the LA Unified School District context, which includes honoring all collective bargaining agreements for its teachers and school staff. ABOUT THE POSITION The Partnership is seeking a self-motivated and results-driven Development Manager to provide strategic support in its private and public fundraising efforts. The Development Manager will serve as a key member of the organization’s Development Team, and will oversee grant management, facilitate grantmaking and reports, manage logistics for events and meetings related to fundraising and stewardship, and oversee the administration of incoming gifts. The Development Manager will act as a liaison between the Development, Finance, and Program Teams, creating consistent lines of communication to ensure the Partnership delivers on the goals, objectives, and activities outlined in grant proposals, while also sharing the Partnership’s impact with funders by submitting reports in a timely manner. In addition, the Development Manager assists with general fundraising activities, including prospective and current donor research, preparation of briefs for donor meetings, donation and acknowledgment processing, communications, and event support. The Development Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Development. This is a full-time, year-round position.
