Overview: Sterling Engineering is partnering with an architectural cable and wire manufacturer to hire a Sales & Project Coordinator . This role supports the sales process from initial customer inquiry through quote follow up, order coordination, and project delivery. The ideal candidate is organized, customer focused, and comfortable managing multiple active projects while coordinating closely with customers, estimators, and internal teams. Experience supporting construction, architectural, or building-material projects is a huge plus.

Location : Addison, IL 60101

Hire Type : Direct Hire

Compensation : $65,000–$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience

What You’ll Do :

• Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and existing customers throughout the sales and project process

• Follow up on incoming leads, customer inquiries, quotes, proposals, and open opportunities

• Gather project details from customers to clearly understand product needs, scope, specifications, timelines, and delivery requirements

• Assist with preparing quotes, proposals, and basic estimates

• Coordinate with internal sales, estimating, operations, and production teams to support project needs

• Track active projects, customer communications, quote status, timelines, and next steps

• Enter, update, and maintain accurate customer and project information in HubSpot CRM

• Help coordinate product availability, order details, and delivery timing with internal teams and customers

• Participate in weekly project follow-up meetings and provide updates on open items

• Organize customer files, project documentation, specifications, and communications

• Help resolve customer questions or project issues throughout the sales and coordination process

• Manage incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members as needed

What They’re Looking For :

• At least 2 years of experience in sales coordination, project coordination, customer service, estimating support, or project management

• Experience working with building materials, construction materials, architectural products, fabrication, or a related industry is strongly preferred

• Previous CRM experience is required; HubSpot or Salesforce experience is a plus

• Strong customer communication skills with the ability to ask detailed questions and follow up consistently

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

• Comfortable with data entry, tracking information, and maintaining organized project records

• Microsoft Office proficiency

• Experience reviewing plans, specifications, or project-related documents is a plus
