Staff Accountant - Industrial Manufacturer (36629)

A global manufacturing corporation is searching for a Staff Accountant candidate to support their accounting department. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Record and verify financial transactions, maintain accurate account records, and audit supporting documentation.
• Analyze financial data, business operations, costs, revenues, and financial obligations to forecast future performance and provide recommendations to management.
• Reconcile account discrepancies and resolve financial reporting issues.
• Process payments by verifying supporting documentation and coordinating disbursements.
• Develop, maintain, and recommend accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Research and interpret accounting policies, regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements to ensure compliance.
• Prepare special financial reports and provide financial updates and recommendations to management.
• Respond to accounting-related inquiries and support continuous improvement of accounting processes.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and general computer proficiency.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to handle moderately complex accounting issues independently and escalate more complex matters when necessary.
