Accounts Payable Manager

Salary Range: $80,000 to $87,500

Role Description: The Accounts Payable Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Orange, CA. This role oversees the day-to-day accounts payable function, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor account reconciliations for multiple hotel and real estate entities. Responsibilities include reviewing and coding invoices, managing accruals, preparing and posting journal entries, and ensuring timely payments in accordance with company policies and contractual terms. The Accounts Payable Manager will monitor AP aging reports, resolve discrepancies, and respond to vendor inquiries while maintaining accurate records and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role also involves improving AP procedures, coordinating with accounting and operations teams, supporting audits, and implementing internal controls to ensure data integrity and compliance with financial standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to review data, identify variances, and support accurate financial reporting.
• Candidates should possess Finance and Accounting knowledge to manage accounts payable processes and support general ledger activities.
• Candidates should possess skills in Journal Entries (Accounting) and Accruals to prepare, post, and reconcile AP-related transactions.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced skills in Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Experience managing accounts payable in a multi-entity environment; hospitality or real estate experience is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with vendors, property teams, and internal departments.

Education and/or Experience

Associate degree or higher in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.

Minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounts payable or accounting experience, including at least three years leading an accounts payable function, outsourced provider, or complex multi-entity workflow.

Experience processing invoices for multiple business units, entities, and locations is required.

Previous hospitality accounting experience is preferred but not required.

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required, and the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry is preferred.

Demonstrated experience evaluating accounts payable processes, implementing controls, analyzing general ledger activity, and improving automated invoice and payment workflows is preferred.

Experience with M3 Accounting or similar hospitality accounting systems is a plus.
