Assistant Project Manager

Currently we are in need of an Assistant Project Manager to oversee a wide variety of construction projects. The ideal applicant will be highly organized, able to ensure high quality standards are met, and will be proactive. Job Responsibilities include: Ensure high quality standards are met Manage the submittal process, including tracking, reviewing for completeness, and coordinating with the design team. Assist in drafting and managing RFIs; track responses and ensure timely resolution. Track material procurement and deliveries to ensure alignment with the project schedule. Track potential change orders (PCOs) and assist in preparing formal change order documentation. Support the PM in monitoring job costs and updating budget and forecast Help manage project closeout, including as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, and punch lists. Establishing and maintaining Contract Document logs, posting changes electronically Managing distribution of documents Assisting with preparing monthly progress and financial reports Writing scopes of work for bids and assist in preparation of bid packages Performing quality surveys (takeoffs) Traveling and coordinating projects on-site Collaborating with subcontractors, engineers, and key team members Coordinating required inspections with local authorities Desired qualifications: BSc/BA degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 3+, years of experience in a similar role Strong understanding of construction operation and processes Must be able to travel to the jobsites Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment Strong knowledge of MS Office.
