Behavioral Health Consultant OPS

The Florida Department of Children and Families seeks a Behavioral Health Consultant to provide clinical expertise within the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Program's SunCoast Regional Office. This role involves consulting with child protective investigators and case managers to identify behavioral health conditions—particularly opioid use and substance misuse disorders—in families involved with the child welfare system. The consultant will educate front-line staff, facilitate treatment referrals, support investigations, and collaborate with community providers to improve service access and family engagement.
