Pharmacy Program Coordinator - Specialty Pharmacy

Compensation: $160,000–$257,000 annually (based on experience) Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | 8-Hour Shifts | Exempt We are partnering with one of California's premier academic medical centers to recruit a Pharmacy Program Coordinator – Specialty Pharmacy . This is a highly visible leadership role that combines clinical pharmacy, specialty pharmacy operations, business intelligence, financial analytics, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance . You'll work closely with pharmacy leadership, physicians, payers, manufacturers, and multidisciplinary teams to help shape the future of a growing specialty pharmacy program. Key Responsibilities Lead specialty pharmacy business intelligence, analytics, and reporting initiatives. Develop and implement programs that improve clinical, operational, financial, quality, safety, and regulatory performance. Analyze prescribing trends, specialty pharmacy capture rates, and identify opportunities for program growth. Monitor payer formulary updates, reimbursement changes, and patient access initiatives. Prepare financial reports, revenue analyses, cost-savings reports, and operational dashboards. Oversee pharmacist billing programs and monitor quality and patient safety metrics. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with manufacturers, payers, contract pharmacies, and limited distribution drug partners. Present operational insights and recommendations to pharmacy leadership. Lead cross-functional projects from planning through implementation while driving continuous process improvement. Qualifications PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy. PGY1 or PGY2 Residency (or Health-System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership Residency). Minimum of two years of outpatient pharmacy experience. Specialty pharmacy experience strongly preferred. Experience with specialty pharmacy operations, business analytics, financial reporting, and project management preferred. Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
