Import/Export Specialist

Responsibilities Key participant in computing duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported/imported to/from foreign destinations. Collaborate on examining invoices and shipping documents to ensure accordance with federal regulations. Key participant in the discharge process for materials and components temporarily imported through the inventory control system on a bimonthly basis. Key participant in the discharges process for machinery and equipment imported temporarily through the customs inventory control system. Review, audit, and perform appropriate corrections to information contained in the master catalog to keep it accurate and correct at all times. Organize and validate local classifications of parts and materials to reconcile with local broker information. Qualifications University degree (Bachelor's) or equivalent relevant work experience. Team player ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple competing tasks. Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentation). Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills. Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity. Self‑accountable to achieving goals and standards.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with all levels of the organization, suppliers, and/or external customers. Preferred Experience 3+ years in import/export compliance at a manufacturing company. Experience projecting and optimizing merchandise duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, etc. Experience in ITAR environments. Eligibility to obtain authorization under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
