FSP Scientist-Formulation & Process Development

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Scientist to develop drug product formulations and manufacturing processes within a cross-functional technical team. The role involves preformulation activities, batch manufacturing support, and process optimization while maintaining GMP/GLP compliance in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop drug product formulations and associated manufacturing processes as part of matrix technical team
• Conduct preformulation, formulation, and process development activities with cross-functional collaborators
• Assist in batch manufacturing for process development, stability studies, and clinical trials
• Execute experimental processes, identify problems, interpret results, and communicate findings to supervisor
• Prepare oral and written summaries of experimental results with technical interpretation for project documentation

Requirements

• MS in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with 1-3 years protein formulation experience; or BS with 2+ years relevant experience
• Technical competence in formulation and process development techniques
• Demonstrated ability to handle, record, and analyze scientific experimental data
• Knowledge of GMP requirements, standard operating procedures, and regulatory policies
• Operational familiarity with routine laboratory and manufacturing equipment
• Ability to perform independent literature searches and learn new experimental techniques
• Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements for sterile and oral solid dosage forms
