Staff Accountant | Lonely PlanetCharlotte, NCThis role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.Red Ventures is excited to welcome a Staff Accountant to our team. This Staff Accountant will be responsible for the financial accounting and analysis for Lonely Planet, one of Red Ventures' high growth business units within the travel industry. This position will have an immediate impact on Red Ventures and daily exposure to our executive leadership team.This role will be participating in a hybrid work schedule - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday will be in-office work days.What You'll Do:Preparing and entering monthly journal entriesSupport month-end closing process and preparation of company financial statementsMaintaining and updating company's financial records, including general ledger, fixed asset management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable using generally accepted accounting principles and practicesProcessing and recording cash receipts as well as requests for approved and documented disbursementsEnsuring adequate financial controlsPerforming financial analyses and special projects as requestedWhat We're Looking For:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance with a strong academic performance1-3 years of prior accounting experienceProficiency utilizing financial systems and reporting packagesProficiency with Microsoft Office productsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilitiesGood organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentMust be a team playerCompensation:Total Cash Compensation Range: $70,000 - $85,000 per yearActual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements.Health Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, and vision)Life InsuranceShort and Long-Term Disability InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountsHoliday Pay401(k) with matchEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Parental Bonding Benefit ProgramFlexible Paid Time Off (PTO): We believe time to rest and recharge is essential.
