We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our pediatric clinical team. In this role, you will work with children ages 2 through 10 in their primary environments — the home and natural community settings where therapeutic gains matter most. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team and have the opportunity to work remotely, supervise, and transition up to a 50/50 hybrid schedule after an initial in-person period of approximately 3 months, once rapport is established with clients and families.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate each child's functional status including fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care ability, visual-motor coordination, and adaptive functioning.
• Assess the home and natural environment for hazards, barriers to independence, and equipment needs.
• Participate in the development of the total plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Develop individualized treatment programs and establish measurable functional goals.
• Communicate plan of care to referring providers and other team members.
• Teach new skills or re-train children in daily activities using naturalistic, functional approaches within their primary environment.
• Provide telehealth-based OT services as part of the hybrid schedule once established.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) where applicable and as licensure permits.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and progress notes.

WORK SCHEDULE

• First ~3 Months: Primarily in-person — building rapport with clients, families, and team members in natural environments across your California service area.
• After ~3 Months: May transition to a 50/50 hybrid model — approximately half in-person field visits, half remote (telehealth, documentation, planning).

EXPERIENCE

• Home health or community-based pediatric experience: 1 year (Preferred)

LICENSE / CERTIFICATION

• Occupational Therapy License — active California OTR required (Required)
• NBCOT certification (OTR) (Required)
• Driver's License (Required)
• Proof of active professional liability (malpractice) insurance required prior to start date (Required)
• Out-of-state OT license with eligibility for California licensure by endorsement accepted — all reciprocal licensure costs fully reimbursed
• Supervision eligibility per CBOT/AOTA standards (Preferred)

• Mileage reimbursed for all work-related travel at the applicable IRS rate.
