About the Role

The Company is in search of dedicated individuals to join its Board of Directors. This voluntary leadership role is pivotal in guiding the organization, which is dedicated to empowering families raising children with behavioral health and emotional challenges. Board members will be instrumental in supporting the company's mission, vision, and strategic goals, as well as ensuring the organization continues to serve with excellence and compassion. Key responsibilities include active participation in Board meetings, providing governance and strategic direction, and serving as ambassadors within the community. The ideal candidates will have a passion for family advocacy, behavioral health awareness, and community engagement, and may bring experience in nonprofit leadership, governance, or related fields. Candidates for the Board of Directors should be prepared to uphold the legal and ethical responsibilities of nonprofit governance, including the Duty of Care, Duty of Loyalty, and Duty of Obedience. This involves actively participating in Board activities, reviewing organizational reports, and supporting the approval of budgets and policies. The company values individuals with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as those with professional expertise in areas such as finance, legal, healthcare, human resources, fundraising, marketing, public policy, or community development. The role requires a time commitment of approximately 40-60 hours annually, including attendance at regular Board meetings, participation in at least one Board committee, and engagement in strategic planning and development initiatives.
