CCS Professional Learning Series Coordinator (Job # 3794) Location: Calvert Country School, Prince Frederick, MD 20678 Position Summary Calvert County Public Schools is instituting a new system of professional learning tied to the Career Ladder of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future. In a train‑the‑trainer model, the Professional Learning Series Coordinator will collaborate with the principal and central office staff to provide training in leading teams of educators, improving student performance, and teaching the science of learning. Reports To Principal Education, Certification, and Experience Minimum of a Standard Professional Certificate or Standard Professional License. Tenure and satisfactory teaching experience with Calvert County Public Schools. Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and central office personnel. Leadership in collaboration among peers. Use data to inform instruction and school improvement. Delivery of effective professional development to teachers. Strong communication skills. Engaging presentation skills. Willingness to present, answer questions, and support colleagues through implementation of the professional learning series. Viewed as a leader in his/her team, department, and/or school. Committed to participate in all training provided by CCPS and provide such training to colleagues (July 2026–June 2027). Alternative qualifications acceptable to CCPS. Demonstrated success in accomplishing tasks similar to those responsibilities listed below. Essential Job Functions, Responsibilities, and Duties Attend the Train‑the‑Trainer Workshop and other necessary trainings. Attend designated workshop and planning sessions during summer 2026 to plan for SY 26‑27 staff development. Provide training to staff on topics tied to the career ladder of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future. Collaborate with school and central office administrators to plan and implement ongoing, job‑embedded professional learning opportunities. Attend meetings during the school year to support implementation of the professional learning series. Other Duties Performs related work as required or assigned by the school principal. Physical Demands Requires significant periods of standing and walking in a typical school environment. Unusual Demands May be subject to a flexible work schedule. Terms of Employment Extra Pay, Extra Duty position. School Year 2026‑2027 – Club Sponsor, 7/1/2026‑6/30/2027. FLSA Status Exempt. Evaluation Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the policy on evaluation as established by the Calvert County Public Schools.
