Founding Account Executive

Most food recalls don't happen because someone was careless, but because a lab result came back three days too late.... After the product already shipped. We built SpectacularOne to close that gap: a lab-in-a-box that screens for the pathogens behind most recalls: E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria, Campylobacter - right on the production floor, with a result in hours instead of days.

It's working. Early customers are running it today and our pipeline is healthy. We're hiring our first commercial person to turn that pull into a repeatable engine and execute our gtm.

What you'll do

This is a build-it-from-scratch role. You'll own the top of the funnel end to end: find the producers who need us in our first phase of release such as small dairies, artisan cheesemakers, sprout and produce growers, find the right person, and get in front of them! You'll live in modern sales tooling to help identify, reach, and nurture.

Early on, the founders close alongside you and will carry the technical depth; over time this role will grow into larger accounts and partnership opportunities.

You probably

  • Have a few years in B2B sales ideally hardware, instruments, diagnostics, or something technical sold to an operations buyer.
  • Are a genuine hunter: you've built pipeline from nothing and understand the chase.
  • Are fluent with outbound tooling and AI, and can do the work of a small team.
  • Are technical enough to earn a farmers trust, you don't need to be a scientist.
  • Are energized by starting at the beginning.

Nice to have

Sold food-safety or ag testing (Charm/ROSA, IDEXX, Hygiena, Neogen, Petrifilm), a contract-lab or diagnostics background, a food-science streak, or early-stage startup experience.

Details

On-site in Berkeley, CA · full-time · competitive base + uncapped commission. You'll report to and sell alongside the founders.
