You will work with our Medical Integration team to develop and review medical content across teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable working through ambiguity, complex data visualization, meticulous in their attention to detail, self‑motivated, resourceful, and capable of thriving in a fast‑paced environment. As an early member of our team, your contributions will play a critical role in shaping the future of our member experience as we scale from currently thousands of members to millions. Key Responsibilities Develop high-quality, evidence-based educational content, including biomarker explanations, health guides, reports, FAQs, clinical resources, and member‑facing health insights. Translate complex scientific and medical concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible language while maintaining clinical accuracy and Function's brand voice. Provide clinical perspective and strategic input during content development, helping shape messaging, educational frameworks, and member experiences from conception through publication. Serve as a clinical reviewer for marketing, product, educational, and social media content, verifying that all claims are supported by high‑quality, peer‑reviewed evidence and current clinical guidelines. Evaluate strength of evidence, bias, and conflicts of interest, and flag content that is inaccurate, misleading, unsupported, or likely to be misunderstood. Partner cross‑functionally with Product, Marketing, Design, Clinical, and Research teams to ensure content is medically sound, aligned with business objectives, and reflects Function's approach to preventive and root‑cause medicine. Stay current on emerging medical research, evolving clinical guidelines, and advances in preventive, longevity, and functional medicine to continually improve content quality. Contribute to the development and refinement of editorial standards, medical review processes, and evidence‑based content best practices across the organization. What We Are Looking For MD, ND, functional medicine certification, PharmD, or other clinical experience in integrative, preventive, or longevity medicine. Strong foundation in evidence-based medicine and the ability to critically evaluate scientific literature. Experience in medical writing, fact‑checking, or reviewing health‑related content. Ability to translate complex medical concepts into clear, engaging, and consumer‑friendly language. Comfortable using AI tools to support research, content development, and editing, with the judgment to critically evaluate, verify, and refine AI‑generated outputs for clinical accuracy and quality. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in health communication. Familiarity with current clinical guidelines, peer‑reviewed research, and medical standards and regulations in health marketing. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, digital‑first environment with cross‑team collaboration.
