Staff Accountant

Our client is a well-established organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build on their experience in a supportive environment with exposure to a broad range of accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and eager to continue developing their accounting skill set. Responsibilities Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash applications Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other financial analysis as needed Support external audits and tax-related requests by providing necessary documentation Help maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency Assist with various accounting projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1–3 years of accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus Understanding of general accounting principles and GAAP Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month end close Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with an ERP or accounting system Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the broader accounting team Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities #J-18808-Ljbffr Brilliant®
