JOB TITLE:

Archives Aide, Reference Department

JOB PURPOSE:


To retrieve, track, and return boxes, folders and artifacts to and from storage for patron and staff research. Includes data entry, scanning and some research. May include Zoom session facilitation.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Retrieve, track and return collection material to and from storage.
• Able to reach, bend, and lift 40 pounds safely, on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Occasionally stand or sit for longer than an hour.
• Equipment use includes ladder, electronic shelving, computer, scanners, heavy carts, telephone.
• Includes data entry, tracking and reconciling materials, using a variety of external and internal databases and some Zoom organization and facilitation.

• Takes initiative and anticipates the needs of patrons.
• Displays quality customer service, whether in person or on the phone.

• Ability to navigate Microsoft products and the Windows operating system effectively.
• Follows basic rules of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduate mandatory.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in customer service, research services, and office settings.

WORK LOCATION:

On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
