SubStruct LLC is a growing Oklahoma-based specialty ground improvement contractor serving commercial, industrial, and large-scale construction projects throughout the contiguous United States. Our services include aggregate piers, rigid inclusions, helical piers, and other specialty ground improvement solutions.

We are looking for an outgoing, professional, and highly motivated Business Development & Marketing Specialist to help us develop new relationships with general contractors, developers, and other construction partners.

A major focus of this position will be identifying companies we want to work with, finding the right contacts within those organizations, introducing SubStruct, and getting our company added to their bid lists and prequalification systems. This position will also help manage our social media presence, marketing materials, and company website.

Construction experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to teach the right person our industry. What we need most is someone who communicates exceptionally well, isn't afraid to pick up the phone, follows through, and enjoys building professional relationships

Responsibilities

• Research and identify general contractors, developers, preconstruction teams, and other potential clients throughout Oklahoma and the United States.
• Make outbound calls and send professional emails introducing SubStruct and our capabilities.
• Identify the appropriate estimators, preconstruction executives, project managers, and other decision-makers within prospective client organizations.
• Get SubStruct registered, prequalified, and added to general contractor vendor and bid lists.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients through consistent, professional follow-up.
• Research upcoming construction projects and identify potential opportunities for SubStruct.
• Maintain an organized database or pipeline of prospective clients, contacts, follow-ups, pre-qualifications, and bid opportunities.
• Coordinate new opportunities and invitations to bid with SubStruct's ownership and estimating team.
• Manage and regularly update SubStruct's social media accounts with professional company, project, and industry content.
• Assist with updating and improving including an upcoming revamp of the company's website.
• Help develop marketing materials, project profiles, capability statements, and other business-development content.
• Represent SubStruct professionally in all communications with clients and prospective clients.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident and professional when speaking with new people by phone.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating conversations with prospective clients.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Professional phone and email etiquette.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently without needing constant direction.
• Organized and capable of keeping track of multiple contacts, opportunities, and follow-ups.
• Persistent and willing to follow up appropriately when a prospective client does not respond initially.
• Comfortable using computers, email, social media platforms, and web-based applications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to present SubStruct professionally.
• Sales, marketing, business development, or customer-service experience is preferred.
• Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required.
• Website management, digital marketing, graphic design, or content-creation experience is a plus.
