Systems Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Systems Analyst to support a Defined Benefit (DB) platform within a Workplace Investing Technology environment. This role will focus on mission-critical systems supporting pension services while contributing to platform modernization, cloud enablement, system stability, and ongoing enhancements. The Systems Analyst will bridge business and technology by driving analysis, solution design, and delivery for complex, data-intensive systems, working closely with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Engineering teams to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions while improving system quality, data integrity, and platform performance. This position is based in Westlake, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Defined Benefit business stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into actionable user stories and backlog items.

• Perform complex data analysis and data mining across recordkeeping systems to support business insights and issue resolution.

• Collaborate with technical leads and architects to design, document, and maintain system flows, data models, and integration patterns.

• Support the design and documentation of API contracts and enterprise integrations aligned with enterprise standards.

• Develop a strong understanding of end-to-end platform architecture to perform impact analysis across interconnected systems.

• Support production issue triage, root cause analysis, and timely resolution.

• Contribute to team ceremonies, iterative planning, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance delivery quality and efficiency.

• Translate business processes, objectives, and complex business rules into well-defined technical requirements and solutions.

• Facilitate technical discussions and contribute to solution design decisions.

• Collaborate across business, operations, and engineering teams to enhance system capabilities, data quality, and operational efficiency.

• Support solutions that maintain alignment with regulatory and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.

• 4-6 years of experience in systems analysis, application lifecycle management, and production support.

• Experience working with financial systems, recordkeeping platforms, or retirement and benefits administration, with Defined Benefit experience preferred.

• Strong ability to translate business processes and objectives into well-defined epics, stories, and requirements.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business rules and translate them into technical solutions.

• Extensive data analysis experience and strong proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL).

• Ability to work through ambiguous situations by making timely decisions based on facts, knowledge, experience, and judgment.

• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven ability to work in a highly coordinated, iterative delivery environment and refine requirements in partnership with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Defined Benefit domain knowledge, including pension calculations, eligibility, and compliance.

• Working proficiency with object-oriented programming concepts, specifically Java.

• Working knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, and APIs.

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

• Experience with data governance, reconciliation, and audit processes.

• Experience analyzing large, complex datasets and deriving actionable insights.

• Experience supporting system performance, stability, and scalability improvements.
