WEC Business Services LLC, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a General Supervisor - System Operations in our Central Business District, Chicago 107th, or Central Shop locations.Job Summary The General Supervisor – System Operations manages internal resources, external contracted resources and business applications/processes based on the need of the business unit. This includes supervisory tasks in Systems Operations group related to construction, design, planning, and scheduling for work related to District Regulator Stations, Interstation system, city-gate station, network valves. This also includes overseeing the maintenance and compliance programs related to the company’s HP distribution and distribution infrastructure within an assigned area. General Supervisors ensure that all internal/external customers’ needs are met in a safe, efficient and timely manner through the effective management/utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials.Job Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and conduct safety meetings to communicate safety requirements, updates and training required
• Manage work assignments with assigned area to established budget, while maintaining optimal internal/external customer service
• Conduct daily tailgate sessions to communicate work assignments, review procedures, and discuss safety hazards and mitigation techniques
• Motivate and engage employees to increase efficiency, productivity, availability, safety performance and core expectations
• Coach, counsel, and train employees for improved job performance. Implement and administer the progressive disciplinary process when appropriate
• Assist in Operator Qualification process for System Operations personnel
• Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, codes, and laws for all systems operations related work
• Manage area budget by controlling costs of tools, materials, work hours and vehicle expenses associated with work
• Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, unions, customers, building trade groups, and government agencies
• Engage employees to promote an inclusive workforce and team
• Must be able to be on – call 24/7 for 13 to 17 weeks a year
• Coordinate with other departments for large diameter isolations (Shutdowns)
• Manage emergency situations regarding the Systems Operations Group
• Assist in the management of construction projects relating to the System Operations GroupMinimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
• 5-10 years of experience in a gas distribution/construction trade and/or 5-10 years of experience in supervision of direct reports
• Working knowledge of union contracts and employee relationship building
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees, contractors, and community groups
• Strong communication and organizational skills are a benefitPreferred Qualifications
• Working knowledge of CFR PART 192 of federal code that refers to operating a natural gas delivery system
• Working knowledge of any Illinois Commerce Commission code impacting systems operations related workloads
• Have knowledge of PI Vision or some type of SCADA system
• Have 5 years of experience with Valve theory/operations/maintenance/compliance
• Have 5 years of experience with Gate Station/Regulator Station theory/operations/maintenance/compliance
