The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping a compelling and cohesive Upper School experience, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, and student outcomes. This role requires a leader with deep classroom experience, exceptional people skills, and a genuine commitment to student well-being. The Head of Upper School will work closely with faculty, students, and families to strengthen the understanding and value of the Upper School program, lead curriculum innovation, and promote best practices in teaching and inclusive pedagogy. They will also oversee all aspects of Upper School student life, cultivate a positive, inclusive school culture, and manage day-to-day operations, including budget and compliance with accreditation standards. Key responsibilities for the Head of Upper School include strategic and instructional leadership, faculty recruitment and development, student life and well-being, operations and systems leadership, and family and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a forward-thinking vision for education, a highly relational and service-oriented leadership style, and a proven ability to inspire and mobilize the school community. Desired qualifications include an advanced degree in education or a related field, 7-10+ years of educational leadership experience, and a strong background in curriculum design, assessment, and instructional leadership.
