Direct Support Supervisor

Direct Support Supervisor Responsible for direct supervision of two or more employees, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Job Responsibilities Manage residential homes and facilities as assigned. Supervise and coordinate activities of Direct Support Employees. Work assigned time in the residential home/facility. Resolve employee issues and conduct performance reviews. Ensure employees meet training requirements and attend required events. Provide after‑hours and on‑call coverage as part of the direct care rotation. Monitor and provide feedback to employees in interactions and relationships with the people supported. Ensure that people supported have a clean and maintained home and yard. Help implement services and supports that assist people in achieving personal goals and desired outcomes as identified through an Individual Support Plan. Carry out the responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional. Perform all other duties as assigned. Interview, recommend for hiring, and train employees. Plan, assign, and direct work while reviewing performance, rewarding, motivating, and promoting team performance. Address complaints and resolve problems. Job Requirements High School Diploma or G.E.D required; Associate Degree in a health‑related area or two years’ experience in a health‑related field preferred. One year of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Flexible schedule and availability to provide on‑call coverage as needed. Provide CPR after certification. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Valid driver’s license; CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification a plus. Pre‑employment screening which includes criminal background and drug testing, education verification and proof of employment history or references (if required). Positions that require driving must have proof of driver’s license, driver’s insurance, and a vehicle if required for providing transportation for individuals.
