Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients using both standardized tests and your keen observational skills.
• Create customized treatment plans focusing on immediate goals while aiming for significant long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing improvements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that target communication, language mastery, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.
• Work in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to develop integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage progress outside of your therapy sessions.
• Occasionally perform inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to ensure continuity of care throughout the patient journey.
• Keep thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying abreast of the latest advancements in your field through workshops and networking.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), pending ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

• Adept in employing evidence-based treatment strategies for a diverse age range, with a firm grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
