Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using recognized evaluation methods and observational practices.
• Create tailored intervention plans addressing both immediate objectives and overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized one-on-one speech therapy sessions focusing on communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to design comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide educational support to patients and their families to foster progress beyond clinical encounters.
• Occasionally assist in inpatient evaluations and therapeutic sessions, ensuring seamless care continuity throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Maintain meticulous and prompt documentation that adheres to state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Commit to continual learning by staying abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still pursuing ASHA certification.

Licenses and Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
