High school diploma or equivalent, previous training and experience with custodial work,
Proven ability to supervise a group of employees and build a spirit of teamwork.
Physical and mental stamina and ability to perform job functions, tasks and duties.

Assist campus administration in maintaining a safe and clean environment

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure that all health and safety codes are properly applied
Orders supplies and tools to maintain proper inventory level and insure that materials are in good supply and not misused. Prepares annual bids for custodial supplies.
Provides custodial worker support and training.
Works closely with facility administrators to coordinate special projects.
Conducts weekly inspections and maintains documentation of all inspections on file.
Assist Principals with the hiring of substitutes and full-time employees when and where needed.
Sees that all cleaning schedules are maintained and kept at a high standard of cleanliness and readiness.
Sees that all mop heads and dust mops are washed, dried and returned to site as soon as possible.
See that all janitorial supplies stored in the warehouse are kept in order and rotated to maintain fresh usable stock.
Conducts safety training sessions with custodial personnel. Sees that the Integrated (Pest Management Plan) is properly maintained and updated annually for forwarding to Louisiana Department of Agriculture.
Conducts periodic meetings with custodial employees and site administrators as needed.
Presents Cleanest School Award on a quarterly basis at School Board meetings.
Follows up on the repair status of all equipment sent out for repairs.
Sees that schools send in project lists for summers, holidays, and other special projects.
Stays alert for possible safety problems and reports it to Maintenance Supervisor for disposition.
Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, work processes and financial performance. Assist in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives. Assists co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service. Orients new co-workers and actively supports teamwork throughout the school system.
Performs any additional duties assigned by the superintendent and/or evaluator.

Adheres to all Iberville Parish School Board's Policies
Reports job-related injuries within 24 hours of work accident to the immediate supervisor.
Assumes responsibility for the implementation of emergency procedures.

Participates in and promotes harmonious working relationships with students, colleagues, parents and community members.
Attends meetings as directed.
Serves on task force and decision-making committees, when appropriate
