HR Advisor

PeaceHealth is seeking a HR Advisor for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position in Vancouver, WA. The HR Advisor serves as a supportive resource as an initial point of contact for caregivers and leaders for general Human Resource (HR) and employment related matters. They respond to inquiries directed to the HR Service Center, support caregivers and leaders in resolving initial inquiries, and work in support of the HRPO for more complex issue resolution. Job Summary As an HR Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for caregiving staff and leadership on general human‑resource and employment‑related matters. The role involves answering initial inquiries, providing appropriate guidance, and escalating issues to the HRPO as necessary. You will support the HR team in providing accurate, timely, and consistent service. Essential Functions Consult with HR supervisor and HR partners on a variety of employment issues, including performance management, policy interpretation and administration, HR processes, compensation, benefits, payroll, and employee & labor relations. Participate in HRPO projects and provide support as needed. Establish relationships with caregivers and leadership to facilitate effective problem resolution. Analyze situations and provide recommendations and follow‑up that support the business strategies and objectives of the HRPO. Case‑manage AskHR inquiries, interfacing with internal and external resources to furnish or obtain needed information. Research issues, gather support information, solicit input from necessary experts, and provide resolution within the Service Level Agreement (SLA). Submit supervisor updates, build position codes, and submit action requests to ensure HRMS system accuracy. Collaborate with HR stakeholders and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to resolve specific issues requiring focused resolution. Educate caregivers on self‑service technology and refer caregivers to PeaceHealth or other vendors (e.g., benefits, leave of absence, retirement) as appropriate. Report on HR‑related metrics. Enter, compile, and analyze data related to performance management, corrective actions, and other purposes. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience. Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of human resources experience, preferably in the healthcare industry. Credentials: Certified Professional Human Resources (preferred). Required Skills: Knowledge of regulatory compliance and federal and state laws with a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines. Ability to analyze information gathered by investigation and concisely report findings and recommendations. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and organize workload to ensure that timeframes are met and work is successfully completed within deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Data entry and analytical skills. Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications. Proficiency in the use of a major HRIS solution (preferred). Salary Range: $31.60 – $47.40 per hour. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, and seniority.
