Senior Consultant, Corporate Franchise Consumer Insights (Project Hire - 6 Months)

Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking an experienced Consumer Insights professional for a six-month project assignment within Corporate Franchise Management. The Project Hire will lead the development and initial implementation of a new enterprise Franchise & Brand Tracker designed to measure franchise health, consumer affinity and engagement across Sony's priority entertainment franchises and divisions. The tracker will support strategic planning, franchise stewardship, content and investment decisions, audience development, and monetization efforts across film, television, anime, games, consumer products, experiences and fan engagement. This role will report to the SVP, Corporate Franchise Management and partner closely with stakeholders across Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Interactive Entertainment. It will manage the project from research design and vendor selection through survey development, fieldwork and initial reporting for the team to track on an ongoing basis. Responsibilities Lead development of the research framework, objectives, KPIs and deliverables for the Sony Pictures Franchise & Brand Tracker. Partner with internal stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into a cohesive enterprise research approach. Review existing research and measurement tools to identify gaps and ensure the new tracker complements existing Franchise IQ data. Develop and manage the RFP process, including agency briefings, proposal evaluation and vendor selection. Manage the selected research agency through study design, survey development, programming, fieldwork, analysis and reporting. Develop measurement of franchise health, including awareness, familiarity, affinity, engagement, future interest and brand perceptions. Oversee audience segmentation, sample design, quotas, weighting and survey quality assurance. Develop standardized franchise scorecards and executive-level reporting. Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights for franchise and business teams. Establish a scalable measurement framework that can support future tracking and identify opportunities for additional research. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Consumer Insights, Market Research, Brand Research, Audience Insights or a related field. Significant experience designing and managing quantitative research studies, brand trackers or consumer tracking programs. Strong knowledge of questionnaire design, sampling, segmentation, weighting and data interpretation. Experience managing external research agencies and complex research projects from brief through final reporting. Ability to translate business questions into research objectives and research findings into actionable recommendations. Strong project management and stakeholder-management skills. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including experience communicating with senior executives. Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel. Experience in entertainment, media, gaming, consumer brands or fandom research preferred. Assignment Scope This is a six-month project assignment averaging approximately 20 hours per week. The assignment is expected to cover the core development and launch of the Franchise & Brand Tracker, including study design, stakeholder alignment, vendor selection, survey development, programming and testing, fieldwork, and initial reporting so the corporate team can manage. The anticipated base salary for this position is $125/hour. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits.
