Site Operations Manager

*This role is dedicated to a large, single site, corporate campus in West Chester county NY. Commercial landscape and snow removal experience required. *

The Site Operations Manager provides leadership, direction, oversight and responsibility within a large Fortune 500 corporate campus.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide daily, AM site inspections, weather/condition reports and operational plans for service.
• Execute, direct, service delivery. Manage active storms, pre and post storm plan and communicate to all stake holders
• Plow, de-ice, clearing support.
• Read, Understand and Implement detailed facilities maintenance Scopes of Work and Service Level Agreements.
• Facilitate communications in the field between team members, Caliber Operations Managers, Caliber Service Management Affiliates, client location.
• Manage the client; up to and including client Regional Vice Presidents.
• Conduct Service Validations.
• Train and guide vendors as required.
• Provide guidance and feedback to Caliber Service Management.
• Maintains Quality Control Reports.
• Resolve customer problems by applying resources as necessary.
• Engage and entertain the customer as appropriate.
• Conduct training and presentations concerning scope of work to site personnel and providers.
• Foster a positive team environment.
• Ensure confidentiality of internal and external data.
• Perform ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
• Responsibilities frequently require emergency support, mobilization and extended engagement (weekends/after-hours/holidays); scheduled and non-scheduled including but not limited to property damage and snow emergencies.

Safety, Compliance & Communication

• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, guidelines, and company policies while operating equipment and working in challenging weather conditions.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including helmets, gloves, protective eyewear, and cold weather gear as required.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and team members to receive assignments, report completed tasks, provide updates on conditions, and escalate issues or hazards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed including dates, times, areas cleared, materials used, and equipment hours using company verification app.
• Participate in training sessions related to safe snow operations, equipment handling, emergency response protocols, and company procedures.
• Collaborate with other crew members, equipment operators, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective operations across service areas.
• Foster a positive team environment and follow established company, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.

Education & Experience

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of commercial snow removal leadership and management required.
• Physical ability to lift minimum 25 pounds regularly; capable of performing labor in cold weather conditions for extended periods.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by weather events and client needs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality work.

Preferred:

• SIMA, ASM/CSP certified a plus
• Strong multi-unit enterprise facilities management experience preferred in the following skills: Landscaping, Irrigation, Snow-Ice Programs, Interior and exterior facilities management, and Janitorial Services
• Experience in a trade
• Experience in facilities industry
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and no major traffic violations.
• Experience operating heavy equipment including wheel loaders, skid steers, or similar machinery.
• Knowledge of snow removal equipment, de-icing methods, and winter weather operations.
• Mechanical ability and basic troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment/Physical & Visual Demands

• This position works outdoors for the full shit with a variable schedule Monday to Friday and sometimes weekends, typically within standard hours; overtime may be necessary or required.
• This position requires extensive contact with people and travel to commercial client location.
• Physical Demands: Lifting/Carrying; Frequently lifts and carries snow removal equipment, bagged materials, and supplies. Pushing/Pulling; Frequently pushes and pulls equipment. Standing/Walking; Constantly stands and walks, including on uneven or sloped terrain, for the entire shift. Bending/Stooping/Kneeling; Frequently bends, stoops, and kneels to plant, weed, and perform ground-level tasks. Balancing; Maintains balance on slopes, uneven ground, around moving equipment and heavy work, requiring lifting up to 50lbs.
• Visual Demands: Visual acuity to perform activities such as depth perception and peripheral vision to safely operate machinery near people, vehicles and obstacles.
• Environmental Conditions: This position is subject to be performed primarily outdoors at commercial properties in varying conditions (heat, cold, rain). Exposure to noise, dust, pollen, and landscaping chemicals/ pesticides.
