Accounts Payable - Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join our medical laboratory. The ideal candidate will play a key role in handling Accounts Payable and supporting the financial functions of the office. This position requires strong administrative skills, a moderate understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain patient information, medical records, and office files with confidentiality. Coordinate office supplies and maintain inventory levels. Log all paper checks for bank deposit. Handle Accounts Payable and payment tracking. Post Credit Card receipts, process refunds, and reconcile financial discrepancies. Maintain accurate financial records and assist with monthly reconciliation of accounts. Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience of 5-10 years of accounting, billing, and financial management. Skills: Strong proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook). Familiarity with accounting software and medical billing systems (e.g., QuickBooks, BillPay, NextGen, or similar). Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information. Professional communication skills, both verbal and written. Working Conditions: Full-time In-Office position with regular office 8am-5:30pm hours. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer for data entry.
