Senior Manager, Supply Chain

Kite (Gilead Sciences) seeks a Senior Manager for Supply Chain to oversee external manufacturing scheduling across contract development and manufacturing partners. The role involves building production schedules, managing critical materials, coordinating purchase orders, and ensuring reliable supply for CAR T-cell cancer therapies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production schedules across external manufacturing nodes with synchronized partner calendars
• Validate slot reservations, campaign timing, yield expectations, and release timelines with partners
• Manage plasmid and cell bank planning, confirming supplier feasibility ahead of campaigns
• Issue, track, and manage purchase orders to external partners through full lifecycle
• Track and report KPIs including schedule adherence, capacity utilization, supply reliability, and forecast accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
• Supply chain planning experience with external manufacturing (CDMO/CMO) and network planning
• Deep knowledge of GMP operations, batch-based production, and global distribution
• Experience translating demand plans into supplier forecasts and managing contractual frameworks
• Proficiency with ERP and advanced planning systems (SAP, IBP, OMP, Kinaxis)
• Strong influencing skills across global, matrixed organizations and external partners
• Experience issuing and managing purchase orders and invoicing with external partners
