In the role of GIS Compliance Analyst Intern , you will be part of a dynamic team, utilizing GIS and other Systems for data and spatial analysis as well as be able to think strategically and resolve analytical and technical conflict.It’s an excellent job for people who enrolled in a GIS Program. Placement Details: This is an 4 month placement starting in August 2026, located in Houston, TX. What you will do: Collaborate with high performing team of employees, contractors, and external service providers to create up to date and trustworthy Compliance Analysis information. Play a key role in the development, implementation and updating of the Intrepid software. Perform a range of technical and support functions relating to the day-to-day maintenance of Gas Transmission Midstream.GIS/Compliance Data which requires a substantial understanding of spatial data principles, map projections and digital data repositories. Help document and develop compliance process flows and GIS requirements for functional improvements and enhancements to Operational Compliance Tools. Help support to harmonize Canadian and US Operational Compliance management processes. Assist in the updating of all compliance structure layers within the GIS system. Who you are: You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Geography, Geosciences or equivalent and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term. Understanding of GIS technologies, including knowledge of GIS suite of products from Esri. Ability to resolve technical and analytical problems quickly. Strong customer service focus and the ability to foster effective working relationships. Initiate and manage change, be innovative, think strategically and work collaboratively with multiple technical disciplines. Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization. Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).
