The selected candidate will engage in educating medical students, residents, and fellows, provide clinical services, and contribute to our research initiatives.
This department presents a varied patient demographic for clinical and translational research endeavors in collaboration with LSU and affiliated institutions. Our faculty members are involved in funded research focusing on innovative HIV treatments, HIV-related cancers, molecular diagnostics, and therapeutic strategies for sexually transmitted infections. Additionally, we have joint projects with the NIH-supported Alcohol Research Center, exploring the connections between HIV, alcohol consumption, and substance use.
Required Education: MD or equivalent degree.
Certifications or Licenses Required: ABIM board certified or board eligible (or equivalent) in Infectious Diseases; must hold a valid medical license in Louisiana and be credentialed with all necessary entities prior to employment.
