Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine
Section of Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine
We are looking for a dedicated clinician-educator or physician scientist to join our team as an Assistant Professor. This role involves providing care for patients in the intensive care units at our affiliated medical center. Additionally, there is an opportunity to participate in pulmonary clinics and consultative services.
Our organization is recognized as one of the leading research institutions in the country, especially in the Southern region. The pulmonary and critical care medicine section comprises a collaborative team of 40 clinical and research faculty members. Our faculty deliver services at various facilities, including a major medical center, a general hospital, and a regional health care system. We share a training program that accommodates 14 pulmonary and critical care fellows. This position entails a combination of day and night shifts for in-house coverage of the CVSICU service. Unique research opportunities are available through partnerships with the School of Public Health, the Department of Immunology, the Center for Aging, Biomedical Engineering, and the Primate Center. Furthermore, extensive career development programs are offered through our institution.
