The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable agreements.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize stock and minimize carrying costs while ensuring production continuity.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to source new materials and components for product development.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, purchasing procedures, and relevant regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed purchasing decisions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex)
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPSM)
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their application to procurement
• Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and long-term agreements
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques for spend analysis and supplier performance monitoring
