Dietitian

Responsibilities Summit Oaks Hospital, a 126‑bed private acute care hospital and chemical dependency treatment center located in a picturesque suburban setting. Position Summary Plans and delivers nutritional care to patients according to the physician’s diagnosis. Performs as a member of the multidisciplinary care team, exercises professional judgment, conducts and monitors clinical nutrition performance improvement plans of the Food & Nutrition Services Department, and oversees all clinical nutrition staff to ensure compliance with department policy and regulatory agencies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Consult with patients and family members concerning dietary needs and goals. Plan modified diets for patients as requested by attending physician/licensed practitioner. Conduct monthly inspections of the Dietary Services Department. Document patient charts with nutritional planning, and update as changes in nutritional needs occur. Adhere to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information. Other duties as assigned.
