You will lead, coordinate, and provide functional leadership for the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of complex projects. Your expertise will support the full project lifecycle, covering HVAC systems, plumbing systems, building automation and controls, energy-efficient design strategies, central utility systems, load calculations, equipment selection, mechanical system studies, commissioning support, and sustainable building solutions.Your RoleLead projects as Engineer of Record (EOR) and guide team members through specific phases or aspects of projects, including technical studies, analysis, design, and preparation of technical drawings and specifications.Lead coordination efforts between engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.Coordinate directly with designers, owners, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.Perform or oversee engineering analyses and design activities to achieve project requirements.Organize project teams as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.Control expenditures within project budget limitations (Fee and Expenses).Review calculations and modeling outputs to verify technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.Mentor team members on engineering principles, industry standards, and practical application of mechanical design solutions.Coordinate activities necessary to complete technical documents (drawings and specifications), including resolving engineering design and technical challenges. Evaluate and approve design changes and document releases.Lead and participate in field activities, including site assessments, existing conditions verification, construction administration, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and punch list reviews for highly technical projects and clients.Assist in maintaining an environment that supports individual achievement and professional growth of team members.Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and development of Engineering Standards.Review drawings and project documentation to improve quality, consistency, and technical accuracy.QualificationsBachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four-year college or university (ABET Accredited).10+ years of related experience and/or training.Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business and technical documents.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex ideas through writing and presentations while motivating teams and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret complex information and evaluate multiple solutions in dynamic situations.Advanced financial knowledge to perform complex calculations and deliver thorough financial analysis to support project and business decisions.This is a full-time, long-term position.Established in 1972, Ware Malcomb is a dynamic, forward-thinking commercial real estate design firm providing professional architecture, interior design, civil engineering, branding, building measurement, structural engineering and MEP engineering services to clients throughout the world.
