Role Description The Commercial Real Estate Investment Analyst / Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role is responsible for supporting the evaluation and execution of real estate debt and equity investments through financial modeling, underwriting, and detailed market and asset-level research. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and maintaining financial models, assisting with investment memoranda, conducting due diligence on properties and sponsors, and analyzing capital structures and return profiles. The individual will help track portfolio performance, monitor market trends, and prepare internal and client-facing reports and presentations. Collaboration with senior team members on deal sourcing, transaction execution, and ongoing asset management is a core component of this position.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills, including quantitative analysis, scenario testing, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and Finance concepts, particularly in Excel or similar tools, with a focus on real estate investments.
• Experience with underwriting real estate debt and equity transactions, including cash flow analysis and risk assessment.
• Background in conducting due diligence on properties, markets, sponsors, and legal/financial documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, real estate coursework) are a plus.
• Knowledge of commercial real estate markets, capital markets, and commonly used valuation and investment metrics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear investment materials and presentations.
• High level of attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort working collaboratively in an on-site team setting and engaging with internal stakeholders and external partners.
