Caring Connections Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time telehealth capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health care to clients remotely, utilizing your expertise to help them navigate their recovery journey. You will conduct assessments, formulate impactful treatment plans, and provide both individual and group therapy sessions, all while fostering a supportive and empathetic environment.

This position is fully remote, leveraging telehealth technology to connect with clients from the comfort of their homes. As a part of our telehealth facility, you will have access to a dynamic electronic health record (EHR) system, facilitating seamless documentation and tracking of client progress.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary mental health evaluations through virtual consultations, documenting all findings to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each case.

• Craft detailed intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and group settings, ensuring alignment with their therapeutic goals.

• Lead individual therapy sessions and facilitate group therapy workshops, implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
\n
• Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress against treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize care outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers, to coordinate client care and referrals.

• Proactively follow up with medical specialists regarding clients who have been hospitalized to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Identify behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing strategies to clients and their families for overcoming such challenges.
\n
• Support and educate family members and primary caregivers in managing mental health issues, recognizing the crucial role they play in the client’s recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base includes diverse individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. You will work with clients of various ages, backgrounds, and personal histories, which requires cultural competence and adaptability in therapeutic approaches. Understanding and sensitivity to each client's unique circumstances will be fundamental in promoting healing and trust throughout the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure, such as LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW, required to practice in the state of Washington.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective client interaction and documentation.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a telehealth or remote counseling setting is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Experience working with individuals dealing with co-occurring disorders, addiction, and physical health issues.
\n
• Familiarity with the guidelines and best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects, as prescribed by collaborating healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits\n
