Join our Weston Care Center team!
We are currently seeking a Business Office manager for our skilled nursing facility, Weston Care Center (An RSH Community).
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma with at least one (1) year in a skilled nursing setting
- Knowledge of long-term care billing and Medical Assistance applications
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to work with facility software including PointClickCare
- Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines
- Must meet all local health regulations and criminal background checks, post-offer drug test, and post-offer physical exam, if required
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and the team concept
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with other
- Must be willing to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
Responsibilities
- Verify insurance eligibility on all prospective residents and monitor continued eligibility status through PointClickCare
- Review AR Aging reports with the Administrator and discuss collection issues as needed to avoid past due accounts
- Act as primary contact in the facility for accounting and billing issues and coordinate timely communication between the facility and the central billing office to resolve issues
- Manage vendor invoices at the facility level and ensure timely coordination with the central billing office for processing/payment
- Organize and maintain filing system for invoices and related reports
- Enter information from the admission packet into the billing system accurately and completely
- Create business files from completed admission packets, filing and maintaining files, as needed
- Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Attend and participate in appropriate and mandatory In-Service programs, including on-the-job training, as required
- Follow all established policies and procedures
- Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities, as assigned
