As a Security Officer Mobile Driver Patrol in Jamaica, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a variety of industries such as government. This part‑time position allows flexibility, enabling you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles via our Claim a Shift platform. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $22.20 per hour Job Schedule Friday: 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM Saturday: 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and problem‑solving, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and public agencies as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of transit-related locations, including bus yards, terminals, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter access points, watching for unusual activity and policy concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to deter unauthorized access, loitering, and policy violations. Support daily operations by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and other security-related issues to appropriate personnel promptly. Minimum Requirements At least 6 months of security-related experience. A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles (21+ for armed). High school diploma or equivalent. Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state and local laws. Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Drug screen required within the limits of the law. Licensing requirements subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment. Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
