Production Support Engineer

Location: Plano, Texas (Hybrid)

Role Overview

This position is for a role within the production support and DevOps team. The individual will interact with internal and external technical, production support, and middleware teams, and will work closely with the business team. The ideal candidate must be able to self-manage work, take initiative to troubleshoot issues, identify resolutions independently, and find opportunities for optimization and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support as part of the DevOps team.
• Interact with internal and external technology and support teams.
• Work closely with business teams to understand and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues independently.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
• Analyze data and code to ensure data quality and integrity and determine root causes of issues.

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a mid to senior level Software Engineer in a Platform, Production Support, or DevOps team.
• Strong experience in ETL, Big Data, Hadoop, and SQL.
• Proficiency in Spark development, including performance optimization and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Unix, data warehousing, scheduling tools, and scripting.
• Strong skills in data and code analysis for troubleshooting purposes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile team environments.
• A good understanding of Bit Bucket, Gradle, Jenkins, Ansible, and the CI/CD pipeline.
• Comfort in communicating with all levels of management and highlighting risks proactively.
