Civil Litigation Associate Attorney | Tampa, FL
Some attorneys spend years waiting for real courtroom work. Waiting for a partner to hand them something that matters. Waiting for the deposition they can run themselves. Waiting for the trial they can actually prepare.
This role does not work that way.
A firm with over 100 years in the market and 700 attorneys across the country is looking for a Civil Litigation Associate in Tampa who is ready to own cases, not just assist on them. State court. Federal court. Depositions. Motion practice. Trial prep. The full picture.

What you will be doing:
- Managing civil litigation matters through every phase from filing to trial
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery requests
- Taking and defending depositions including witness and expert preparation
- Handling court appearances, hearings and case management conferences
- Developing litigation strategy and managing motion practice
- Preparing cases for mediation, arbitration and trial
What you need to bring:
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
- Three to four years of civil litigation experience at a law firm
- Experience in both Florida state and federal courts
- Strong motion practice, discovery and deposition experience
- Trial preparation experience is required
- Judicial clerkship or actual trial experience is a strong plus
