Senior Sous Chef
Markette is a restaurant from Chef India Doris, winner of the Michelin Guide Young Chef award 2025, and formerly of Saga (2 Michelin star) and Alex Pfaffenbach, formerly of Eleven Madison Park (3 Michelin star), and Quality branded. We are seeking a passionate, skill driven & dedicated senior sous chef to join our team! This is a growing group with a restaurant and a cocktail bar residing in the same building. This role is fitted for an individual who will thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, and take pride in consistency, precision, and teamwork. Room for growth in this role. What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 + years of professional kitchen experience
- Strong understanding of classic techniques and modern execution
- Excellent time management, organization, and cleanliness
- Ability to be a team player
- Commitment to professionalism, respect, and continuous learning
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a small group of talented cooks
- Be able to lead by example
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly in the kitchen.
- Must be reliable and passionate about their craft
- Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentation in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation.
- Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
