Pediatric Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Pediatric Respiratory Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Duke Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Duke Health.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have at least 2 years experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics along with ED. - Level IV NICU experience required. - High frequency jet ventilator experience required. - Oscillating ventilator experience required. - Pediatric cardiac anomalies experience required. - 2 years of current NICU and PICU experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Teaching Hospital Experience

Preferred Credentials: - RRT strongly preferred. CRT candidates will be considered case by case only if they meet all other skill/experience requirements.

Unit Details: - Neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient population.

Shift & Scheduling: - 6 weekend shifts per schedule. The schedule is published in 6 week blocks.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
